Catskill Mountain Lodge

Brian and Nate were such great hosts, and Brian in particular was one of the nicest, most down-to-earth people I've met. I can be high maintenance, and I know this isn't the Waldorf Astoria, but I really enjoyed staying here. The rooms were very clean, the beds and pillows comfortable, and each room has a balcony and parking nearby. There's a fridge and Keurig machine in the room, and they're dog friendly. The grounds are lovely and well kept, and the prices are more than fair. I have no complaints and would absolutely stay again, hopefully soon. A+++ for everything.

I loved the retro decor and the old-school motel feel. The property gave me Bates Motel vibes, minus the terror, which is a good thing. Brian was super friendly, and the bagel and coffee breakfast was a nice touch. There are lots of amenities, and I'd like to return when more guests are around. I seemed to be the only person there, which felt a little eerie. I stayed in the motel section, where a few rough edges stood out: the TV was leaning against the wall, the cable box was on the floor, cleaning supplies were left in the bathroom, some electrical fittings were exposed, and the sink and toilet were chipped. Some people might mind those details, but I didn't; they even added to the retro vibe. The place was otherwise clean, comfortable, and affordable. I'll be back soon, hopefully to ski nearby.

The lodge room was clean and spacious, and we were very happy with our stay. Breakfast even had gluten-free and dairy-free options, which was a nice surprise, and the nearby hiking and pleasant pool were great. It's a family-friendly place, with sidewalk chalk, toys, and games for the kids, plus a small game room, fire pit, and outdoor movies. Our kids were too tired to stay up for the movies. The one drawback was noisy neighbors and thin walls. Keeping the AC fan running drowned them out, so it stopped bothering us. We'd stay again.

We stayed in a clean, cozy two-bedroom cabin, and the owner was very nice and accommodating. The place has a sweet retro feel and was almost perfect for a family getaway. My only complaint was the toilet. The water pressure was low and it flushed so slowly that it really needs updating. Everything else was great.
