Quality Inn Near Lake Marble Falls

We were stuck with the room for one night because we'd booked ahead, this place was full, and the other hotels were booked too. The staff were all really nice, but the condition of the room was shocking. There were bugs all over the bathroom floor, blood on the sheets in both the king bed and pull-out bed, and mold on the pull-out bed. It looked as though someone had just remade the beds with the previous night's sheets and done nothing else. I could go on. We most likely won't be back.

I've stayed here three times, and it's a really nice place overall. The bathtub is the reason I didn't give five stars. Each time, there's seemed to be an issue: sometimes the stopper won't plug the drain, and other times the knob falls off. When the knob had been stripped and wouldn't stay in place, I could only get hot water and couldn't change the temperature.

The best part of the stay was checking out. The first room had dried urine splattered on the toilet. I cleaned it with Clorox wipes, and my husband reported it to the desk clerk. She looked dismayed but not surprised, then moved us to another room. There was an inch of standing water behind that toilet, against the tub. The AC blew cold but rattled so loudly that I couldn't sleep, so I turned it off. Then the room got too hot and stuffy, and turning it back on meant waking up each time it kicked in. I finally fell asleep around 4:30am, but garbage men emptied the dumpster outside at 5:45am. I tried to sleep again, then the room alarm went off at 6:01am. We hadn't set it. After I gave up and showered, there was standing water behind the toilet again, in the corner by the tub. Was the water there when we arrived from the previous tenant? Did they even clean the room properly? The made-up bed had pubic hairs, the bedspread had cigarette burn holes, and the bath mat was threadbare. I've stayed at three Quality Inns in my life, each one worse than the last. It's a budget chain, but really? Disgusting and awful. I'll never stay at one again. Check-in itself was very pleasant, and the lady at the desk said she'd been there 24 years.

Kim at the front desk was incredibly kind and sweet. I got sick during my stay, and she called EMS for me. She let me wait in the lobby and did her best to comfort me while I waited.
