This was my first trip to Marco Island, visiting with friends who own a timeshare, and I’d recommend it as a destination. I did notice very little racial diversity among the renters, though there was a cultural mix and lots of multiculturalism among the staff. As an interracial couple, we felt very comfortable.

The setting is quiet and relaxing, with a great location and private beach access. The hotel is nice, though it shows its age next to newer resorts. Staff are friendly, but there aren’t many extras if those matter to you. There’s no bar or restaurant on site, though you can walk to options. Also, unlike most Hilton resorts, this one has paid washers and dryers instead of laundry in the units.

The beach is gorgeous, and it’s such a comfortable, clean place to spend a week and unwind. I’ve been coming here every year since I was a kid, and somehow it keeps getting better. There’s always something happening, which makes you feel welcome, and everyone is friendly and cheerful. It’s a great place to get away and reset for a while. If you’re still deciding, just book it. It’s worth it.
