Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Marianna

I arrived to check in with my three children, and a man who was standing by the desk kept watching us after the woman asked if I was there to check in. He didn't work there. While the desk clerk went to get our keys, he tried to see which room we were assigned. The clerk was curt and unfriendly. He tried to follow us into the elevator, so I told him we needed some space. I hurried the kids off on our floor and into the room. We left our belongings and went to dinner. When we came back, no one was at the desk, so we went upstairs to get ready for bed. Then I started noticing the room's condition. I called downstairs and was told there were no other rooms with heat. It was about to snow, yes, snow in Florida, crazy right? I asked if anyone could at least come clean the room and was told no. It was midnight and we were tired, so I was going to let it go. But when I went to bed and plugged in my phone, I saw mold right beside the bed. The mold in the bathroom was bad enough, and now it was near the beds too. When my oldest turned on the heat, things started blowing out of the vents. We moved to another hotel and got no refund or answers from this hotel.

The bed was so worn down that I couldn't get comfortable and barely slept. There were also a couple of bugs on the floor. After we got our key card, we tried the room several times and heard a girl say, “Hey, we are in here!” The kid at the desk had given us the wrong room number. What a disappointment.

Check-in went smoothly, and the staff were cheerful and polite. Our room was clean, the location was perfect, and the price was right. We had an amazing stay and would definitely recommend coming back.

There were stains on the walls and all over the suite's sofa and chairs. Then we found roaches, lots of them, not just one or two. When we told the front desk, the only fix they offered was moving us to a different room. We will NEVER stay at a Wyndham site again.
