Staybridge Suites Albany Wolf Rd-Colonie Center by IHG

Ms. Latay-Sha Moore was great throughout my stay and always had an answer when I needed one. She even got me connected to WIFI. Parking was excellent, and I was glad to have a refrigerator, though the room felt a little cramped. At breakfast, my friends and I noticed a few things that could be better. There was no whole milk, and when I asked, staff couldn't give me a helpful answer. The butter packets at the Waffle Station were so cold they were hard to spread. One staff member kindly microwaved my waffle with the butter on it to soften it. There was sausage but no bacon, which may not work for guests who don't like sausage. For those reasons, I'd rate the stay three out of five.

I paid $200 for one night and barely got to enjoy the pool or hot tub because there were so many kids around. I don't mind kids, but this hotel should set aside an adult hour for guests who paid to use the amenities. Maybe 9 to 10 pm could be for adults 21 and older with ID. Kids were splashing, jumping, and going in and out of the hot tub, and birthday parties with 10 pizzas in the pool area didn't make it inviting. We also got a noise complaint for enjoying our room, which wasn't acceptable. We would've had a much better stay if there were at least some designated time that felt more adult friendly.

The snow crews had worked through the night clearing the parking lot and driveways, but every car still had more than a foot of snow on it. We're not checking out until tomorrow, so I figured I'd bundle up later and clear ours myself. Then I noticed someone brushing snow off cars. I first thought he was another guest, and then figured he must be helping staff cars from the overnight shift. To my surprise, he came over and cleared off our Calligraphy too, saving me the trouble. I called the front desk to tell them how great the service was. I'm a Diamond level member of the IHG brand, but the employee didn't know that and kept brushing off the other vehicles anyway. Bravo Staybridge Suites!

The room could've been cleaner, with dust around and smeared mirrors, though it wasn't bad enough to ruin the stay. The free dinners, breakfast, and wine were awesome. Big thanks to management and the owner for treating the workers and managers so well. They made my two day stay feel blessed, with hospitality through the roof. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
