Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Atlanta Galleria/Ballpark, GA

We’d definitely stay here again when visiting Atlanta. We only stayed one night, but the room was clean and quiet and we enjoyed it. In our rush to leave, we forgot my daughter’s favorite teddy bear. I called the next day and learned housekeeping had found it. When I came by the following afternoon, the front desk woman I’d spoken with said she couldn’t access the housekeeping room, but would contact the person who could. About half an hour later I had the bear back, neatly sealed in a bag. I was impressed by how professional and caring everyone was. Housekeeping could have tossed it while cleaning, and the desk attendant could have stopped at saying she lacked access. The person with the key, likely the housekeeper, came in on their own time to help. Everyone went out of their way to get it back to us.

I’m furious. We’d accidentally left a toiletry bag at the hotel, called when we noticed, and they found it. We gave them the exact date we planned to collect it, and they said they’d put our name and date on it. They’d had it for two and a half months and were supposed to keep it until we came. When we arrived, they said it had been discarded because they don’t keep things past three months. I understand having a policy, but nobody told me they would throw it away after three months. They’d said the bag would be there with my name on it. I went out of my way to pick it up and they got rid of it. I won’t stay here again.

It’s an older hotel, but still quite nice. We had a clean room, no problems, and very friendly staff. Truist Park is just minutes away. We enjoyed the stay and would come back.

The pool is huge and clean, and the hot tub was working. The room was clean, too, and the whole place is non-smoking and quiet when it should be. The staff were friendly, knew their stuff, and were helpful. There’s plenty to do within three miles, with lots of kinds of food nearby. Really nice place, and I enjoyed staying here.
