I felt unsafe there, and the musty smell, dirty walls, and black mold in the bathroom made it worse. The online photos looked very nice, so I feel like I was catfished. Where were those rooms? This is the grossest hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

We chose this place because I’m being admitted to a residential facility in Carbondale at 8am, and home is four hours away. We wanted somewhere safe and clean nearby so we wouldn’t have to leave Bloomington at 4am. Instead, we got a mouse running down the hallway as soon as we walked in. There was a stinkbug on my bed, bed bugs, flies everywhere, and the room smelled like animals. The smell was atrocious, and I wish I could have captured it for this review. There was mold all over the shower curtain, in the tub, and across the walls. I couldn’t even take a nice hot shower before being away for 30 days. The lampshades were scratched, outlets didn’t work, there were holes by the floorboards, and the sheets and comforters had holes. At 6am I still hadn’t slept because I didn’t feel comfortable in the bed. We didn’t get there until 1am and felt we had nowhere else to go unless we slept outside, which I guess was worse. The person who paid used their hotel membership to book this room, and I want them to get 100% of their money back. Disgusting and appalling. This hotel and room are vile. Never come here.

We left before finding out how many more roaches might come out in the dark. With the lights on, we saw over a dozen in the first hour, and the rooms were dirty, as other reviews have said. I’ve only walked out of two hotels in my life, and this was one. When we told the front desk we wouldn’t stay, they didn’t seem surprised and were willing to refund what we’d paid.

I’m not usually one to complain, but the place was absolutely filthy. There was a mouse and cockroaches in our room. I asked to have it cleaned, and nothing was done. When I asked a second time, they offered us a different room. I wish I could post the videos. I should have asked for my money back and left, but I didn’t want to be rude.
