The breakfast had a good waffle maker and coffee, though get there early or they may run out of coffee. The orange juice tasted watered down. In the room, the bed was comfortable and warm, and I was pleasantly surprised to find decaf tea. But the room felt dated: the TV stand was broken and tilted, there were mystery stains on the chair, and the AC was so noisy we kept it off the whole stay. Hot water was a bigger problem, since it was usually unavailable and when it did come, it turned cold within seconds. In winter, that really wasn't good. I wish I'd read the reviews before booking.

We got to the hotel around 11 p.m. on the night of 12/18/25, and the experience went downhill fast. The parking lot was empty while the pricier hotel across the street was full. The receptionist was unfriendly, didn't welcome us, and seemed annoyed when I tried to confirm his directions to our room. Then we found a blood stain on the white sheet and took photos to show him. He suggested it was our blood, saying he knew about blood and that it looked bright red. I asked what he was implying and told him to cut the BS. He said, "don't you course at me or I'll throw you out of this hotel!" I asked why I'd come all that way to complain about my own blood, and he said, "to get new sheets!" He handed me a set and told me to change them myself. I drove across the street to the Best Western, where luckily a clean room was available, then came back down and checked out. I explained it to the incoming receptionist, but she said she couldn't do anything because I'd booked through Booking.com. I contacted booking.com around 2:30 a.m.; they said they'd speak to the hotel, but later told me they hadn't gotten a resolution. We lost our money. It felt awful to be treated this way in the United States of America, with no customer service department to complain to and booking.com, the huge company that took the reservation, ultimately not liable either. Absolutely terrible experience.

I've stayed 20-30 hotel nights a year, and this was the quirkiest chain hotel I've experienced by a wide margin. I stayed twice in one week, in rooms in two different buildings. On the first visit, the room I booked for three turned out to be two connected rooms, and one had broken AC, so we had to leave the connecting door open. On the second night, the room lock wouldn't open and I had to be moved. The replacement room was otherwise fine, though it took about five minutes for the hot water to come through. The whole place looked late 1980s, but was generally in decent repair and clean enough. There aren't many choices in the area, so you could do worse. It's not a bad hotel, and you shouldn't run away from it, but it is certainly quirky.

The area around the Quality Inn is beautiful, and it's very well placed for visiting Yosemite Valley. We had a nice stay with the kids this year, and the hotel served its purpose well. The front desk staff were welcoming, especially Kella, who went above and beyond to help whenever we needed something. My family and I enjoyed being here.

The breakfast was fine, though some standard items weren't available. The place felt worn and a bit threadbare, and hot water was very limited. I mentioned the cold showers to the young clerk at checkout, but he seemed unconcerned.
