We gave up after half an hour, and the desk clerk refused to refund us, telling me to read the contract next time. The room door wouldn't lock from the outside, and he said the key cards had to go in upside down and could be erased if they got too close to anything with a chip in it. The room smelled, the bedspread was frayed and had little holes, and the pillows had head impressions despite being told the room had just been cleaned. The TV was filthy, and none of the three remotes worked properly. The elevator was out of service, and none of the ice makers or vending machines worked either. Our car navigation still called it a Super 8, but it isn't anymore. The desk said they were renovating and had three rooms available on the second floor. It was obvious there were long-term tenants on the main floor. A very dirty, bad experience. Stay away from this hole.

There isn't much food nearby, just a Subway and a DQ. I got the impression these two affiliated buildings were mainly for people living in hotels, rather than travelers passing through. I was short on time and exhausted, so after calling the newer place to check in and being sent to the older one, I went along with it. I just wanted a shower, food, and sleep. The first thing I noticed was a strong food smell, then the flies. My first room looked like its door had been kicked in and was being worked on; the next had a toilet that didn't work, so they moved me to the newer building. The same strong smell was there, but no flies. The room itself was nice, though it had no towels or toiletries. The manager kept apologizing for the wait and the other problems. It is what it is.

The sheets and pillowcases were yellow, and there was still hair on the sheets. One pillowcase was so filthy I tossed it onto the other bed. They said they were remodeling, and some things did look new and good, but the cleaning was poor. I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep, so I ignored the red flags. I don't write reviews often, but I'd avoid this place until they finish the remodeling and get the cleaning sorted out.

We stayed on the third floor of the newer building. It was clean, and the room had enough space, plus a microwave and refrigerator. The bed was okay and on the firm side, which suited me, though my husband likes a softer one. There are two buildings and two lots with semi truck parking. Pets are allowed in the older building but not the newer one. The price was a little lower than similar chain hotels, and the lack of breakfast didn't bother us since we don't care for cheap hotel food anyway. A nice place for a night, especially when you need parking for a large vehicle.

The building is plain and no-nonsense, and the rooms are quiet, clean, and inexpensive. You can hear road noise, though to me it just sounds like distant highway ambiance. Driving in is tricky. A double room costs the same as a single, so you can just grab double sheets. Nothing special, but my stay was better than the sum of its parts.
