I've spent 10 months a year traveling for work, and this is one of the three worst hotels I've stayed in. There were mice, the management wasn't truthful, maintenance was poor, and housekeeping was incompetent. If you have another option, stay somewhere else. We used to stay here every year. A month before this visit, the manager said by phone he'd match last year's weekly rate of $400, and told us to wait until a week before arrival to book. Then the quote was $425 in cash, and when we arrived it had become $505. We should have taken the air bnb we'd been considering, which was $25 more than the original quote. The hotel is going downhill. A mouse ran across the bathroom, another jumped out of our things while we were loading the car, and we could hear something larger moving in the ceiling. The internet only worked sporadically, often going out for half an hour or more after an hour online. By Friday it was completely down around 6pm, even though only one other person was staying in the building, and didn't return until Sunday night. The room was poorly supplied and uncomfortable. The towels were snagged and stained, with no hand towels, just two washcloths, two child-sized bath towels and a foot towel for a two-bed room. There was only a partial toilet paper roll, and we had to ask for more. There were no fitted sheets, so the flat sheets kept needing to be fixed. The bedside light didn't work, the beds were uncomfortable, there was no coffee maker, and the refrigerator froze everything in the back half from top to bottom despite adjusting the temperature. Housekeeping made the bed neatly all week, then one day I found mouse droppings in it. I removed the bedspread and left the sheets bundled at the foot of the bed. When we returned, the towels had been changed but the sheets were still there. At 10pm we had to ask for clean sheets, and were told they don't change them unless you ask. There was nothing posted in the room explaining that, and if all the sheets are off a bed, it should be obvious they need replacing.

It was quiet and the location was good, but the room felt worn out. The bed seemed old, the walls were very thin, and there were cigarette burns all over the side of the tub. The bathroom wasn't very nice either. It could be a really nice place if it were updated.

I almost left as soon as I saw the room, but decided to give it a try. It didn't feel clean, the blanket smelled kind of bad, the floor felt really dirty, and the shower curtain needs replacing. Then the power went out for the night. Sleeping in a hot room before getting up to travel and work was awful.

After seeing so many bad reviews, I wanted to share that my stay was a positive one. I had a small, cozy room that reminded me of an old apartment I used to rent. It isn't fancy, but it worked perfectly well for my simple one-night visit. I was a little worried when booking by phone because I found the man's accent hard to understand, but at check-in he and the other staff were extremely friendly and helpful. I'd recommend giving them a chance if you just need somewhere for the night.

It was quiet and comfortable, and we actually got to sleep late. The owner was really nice, and check-in and check-out were both quick. I had a great time and will be back soon.
