Quality Inn Marlborough (ex. Comfort Inn)

It’s cozy, and I’ve never had a problem or felt unsafe here. Even with heavy snow, we haven’t lost power. The location is great too, tucked away but close to a Target and within walking distance of Olive Garden. I’m a bit disappointed that Solomon Pond mall seems to be closing. This is my second long-term stay, and it has a real community feel. The regulars get together for Christmas or the Super Bowl. Beverly goes out of her way to make sure you have what you need. Sissies is a really good guy who jumps on problems right away. Kim and Emily are new, but both seem professional, kind, and happy. Can’t say enough good things about this place.

The rooms looked spacious online, but ours was tiny, and the TV was about the size of a microwave. We were there for five days over Thanksgiving to visit family because it was cheap. We’ll pay extra next time to get fresh towels. The “mike and the boys” type are always hanging out in the lobby watching TV with the host, which felt unprofessional. I was going to let it go, but Mitch reviewed the place after our stay, so I wanted to be transparent too. Like the other reviews say, keep looking.

The front desk person was welcoming, but our room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke. We slept with the window wide open in 40 degree weather, and it didn’t help. By morning, our hair and clothes smelled like cigarettes. The carpet was disgusting too. We were in a hurry to get to an event after checking in, so we didn’t ask for another room. Honestly, I doubt it would have made a difference since the whole place smelled like stale cigarettes. Thankfully, we don’t have asthma or anything like that. This is long-term transitional living, and it shouldn’t be sold for hotel use.

I needed somewhere to live on short notice, and Beverly and Kim got me in right away. They’re so kind and caring, and I’m grateful for their help.
