Hampton Inn Marshall

My room was fine, and the staff apologized, but one of the two rooms I’d reserved wasn’t ready when we checked in after 3 p.m. It looked like nobody had touched it, and it was my guest who walked into the unclean room. We had to switch rooms, so we ended up farther down the hall instead of next to each other. I’ve never had that happen before, and it was very disappointing.

The breakfast was the weak point, especially compared with what I’m used to at Hampton Inns. The hot options were a breakfast ball, which I assume was scrambled eggs with other ingredients, sliced lunch sausages, and potatoes. There weren’t many pastries either, though the blueberry scones were the best of them. I ended up with coffee and cold cereal. Check-in was easy, the room was clean, and parking was accessible. The location near the interstate works well for an overnight stop.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff were fantastic, and the hotel was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was hot, plentiful, and offered a good variety. We’ll book here again, and we’ll also send our clients here.

The rooms seem questionable and need renovation. There are no laundry facilities. As of the time I posted this, a notice dated 30.07 said no open carry of handguns. I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place.
