Colonial Inn

I stayed for three months while working on a remodel project, and it was a horrible experience. The rooms are big, but they were infested with spiders, and the walls are thin. There was no control over the heating or air conditioning, so we had to buy fans and a heater to be comfortable. The older man named Ken who cleans the rooms steals small belongings and money. On our last day, he stole $70. I wouldn’t suggest anyone stay there, ever.

The manager treated us with respect and was the nicest guy. Our room was clean and warm when we needed it to be, with fresh sheets and very good housekeeping. It’s one of the best hotels in marshalltown iowa, and also the cheapest cleanest one here. I love this place and would rent here again.

The manager is super friendly and courteous, and it’s been a great stay. I get privacy and time to myself here, while places to eat and shop are both close by. This place is awesome.

For a cheap construction worker motel room, it was moderately clean. I used about $5 worth of supplies from Dollar General and spent around 30 minutes cleaning, and it turned into a nice room. You can’t beat the price, and the owner manager is a sweet lady.
