Flamingo Motel

There were bed bugs everywhere, covering the walls, floors, beds, and even inside my pillow. I’d never seen anything so disgusting or infested. I had to leave everything I owned behind, then asked the front desk manager for our $500 back and was told no refund. So I went back to the room, scooped up a cup full of bed bugs, and showed them to the desk. They said the room didn’t have any and begged me not to open the cup. I opened it and threw them all over the staff. Seeing how horrified they were felt worth it. This place needs to be shut down immediately.

We booked a non-smoking room but were put in a filthy smoking one. They moved us to a better room the next day, but only between 11 and 2. We were also offered a $50 comp, though nobody knew how to give it to us. Then at 2am an employee came in to spray for smells without telling us they were coming.

The pricing was good, and accommodations were provided before I asked and when I made a request. The place felt professional and private, with nice furniture, a TV, fridge, and Wi-Fi. It was clean, neat, friendly, and respectful. No complaints.

My husband booked a weeklong stay a week ahead, but when he arrived nobody was at the desk, just a phone to use. The person on the phone said all the rooms were full and hung up without explaining. He later found out they hadn’t honored the reservation and gave the room to someone else for a higher price because there was an event nearby. What an unprofessional crap hole.
