Ridgeway Inn

For $55 a night, this is about as good as you can get. The owner and the other guests were all friendly and down to earth.

The room and all the appliances were impressively clean during my three-day stay, and everything worked well. The TV had plenty of channels. Staff and employees were friendly and accommodating, and it was very quiet. The location was good for whatever you might need. I'll stay again on my next visit to the area.

For the price, the rooms were nice. Nothing fancy, just what you'd expect from a roadside inn. They were attentive to my needs. The shower drained slowly, so I stood in a few inches of water, but I wear shower shoes in public places anyway.

There were lots of problems in the room. The bathroom door had a notch cut into it so it would close, nails stuck out of the door and walls, and there were holes and damaged furniture throughout. Cigarette butts had been left behind. There was no Wi-Fi signal or cable, so we couldn't watch TV. The outlets were so worn that plugs kept coming loose, including those for the microwave and refrigerator. All our food spoiled, and they refused to replace any of it. When we checked in the room was very cold because the heat and AC weren't working. We had to go to the office and ask them to turn on the breaker. The sink also had no hot water pressure.
