Paiute Trails Inn

It’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere, which could be a plus if you want somewhere quiet. I’ve stayed in lots of motels, though, and this was easily the best. The room was very clean, without the cigarette-smelling microwave or other unpleasant things I’ve run into elsewhere. Check-in by phone was simple, even arriving late. The internet worked, and the hot water and heat did too. I usually bring my own coffee maker, but they had the same model and even the same coffee and creamer I use. Nothing fancy, just a nice touch.

There’s comfortable seating for only three in the living room and bunk bed area, even though the place sleeps eight. The kitchen also needs more storage, perhaps some shelves along the wall, since there’s no dining table or spot for groceries. Cooking utensils are very limited, so bring your own. We’d suggest this place for two people at most.

The AC worked great, and the room both looked and smelled clean. The location was easy to find and really convenient. The host was friendly and called to walk me through check-in. I noticed cobwebs outside and the ceiling fan didn’t work, though that seems like an easy cosmetic fix. I had a great stay and would come again, and recommend it to friends and family.

The surrounding land is seriously scenic, even if that’s not really the inn’s doing. I was only there one night for business, during the off season, and Alissa was helpful and accommodating. The room was clean and much larger than I expected. I could see it making a comfortable base camp for outdoor exploring in season, and I’d stay again.
