The Club at New Seabury

From the rehearsal the night before through the time we left the next evening, Jennifer, the bar staff, and the wait staff handled every detail flawlessly. We never had to look around for a drink or appetizer, they were there when we needed them. Their warmth, care, and service were beyond what we hoped for. My husband and I got married here earlier this month, and it was the most amazing day. Everything was perfect, even better than we’d dreamed. We can’t thank everyone at The Inn enough for making it unforgettable.

The property was nice to drive through, though definitely not walkable unless you want a workout. Our 2 bedroom/2 bath condo was spacious and clean. We had to ask housekeeping for extra trash bags and paper towels, and they didn’t arrive until after 9 pm. The Cabana club pool was gross when we got there early and were among the first to use it. Hair and bugs were visibly floating around, as if it hadn’t been vacuumed overnight. I wouldn’t put my head in it. I’ve seen cleaner public pools, and it was disappointing given how much this place costs. Our child got HMFD after using the pool. We’re 100% sure, since she sat on the ledge and incline, and all the rash and lesions are concentrated around her bum and leg. I also got food poisoning from one of their restaurants and spoke to a manager, but never heard back. I was so sick I couldn’t drive home. I tried contacting management about our stay, and no one returned my call. They obviously don’t care if you’re a visitor rather than a member. We won’t be back.

The grounds were nice enough, and the few people we interacted with at the Country Club were very nice. Still, we left a full day early, despite having prepaid, because the experience was so disappointing. We booked a cottage thinking this was an actual hotel. It’s marketed as a hotel, but it’s really a Country Club and wedding venue with small Cottages for weddings. We were the only people around, and the restaurant, bar, pool, and beach access were all closed. I understand it wasn’t peak season, but it was a beautiful 22° day, and we’d booked specifically for the pool and beach. It was incredibly disappointing not to be able to use them. There’s no cleaning service, and guests are expected to clean the rooms themselves. That would have been fine if it had been clear when booking. It’s unfortunate that the place wasn’t clearer about not being an actual hotel or resort.

Amy was really pleasant and gave us excellent service. The rooms are nice.
