Comfort Inn Mason City

The beds were comfortable, with mattress covers, which I appreciate since I always check the bed when I arrive. We checked in late, and it was quick and easy. I also liked that the hotel welcomes pets. The renovations look recent, but some of the work seems rough, and the curtains had stains. We didn’t use the pool. Breakfast was okay, and the attendant kept the area tidy and replenished the food. It was very cold in there, though. The apple juice had black specks, and the cranberry juice tasted extremely watered down. We’d consider staying again if we needed to.

The rooms looked newly renovated, and ours was spotless and welcoming. Parking the semi was a problem, but the front desk clerk came out to help. She called someone, and I was told I could park on 4th Street. I ended up using a back lot instead. Road construction also made it a little confusing to get in. I’d stay again if I’m in the area.

A good, affordable spot for a short stay, though it’s not a five-star hotel. The staff were wonderful, breakfast was good, and it was extremely quiet, with no loud noises or late-night distractions. The rooms were very clean, with fresh linens and soft, comfortable beds. The bathroom was clean too, and the shower was excellent. We’d stay here again.

Lacey noticed I was upset and came over to ask if I was okay. She didn’t have to seek me out, but she did, and she really listened. It felt sincere and wholehearted. She’s one of those people who can restore your faith in humanity. Kind and compassionate. Thank you, lacey. I’ll remember you forever.
