Alpine Motel

The room only reached 46 degrees in winter, which is completely unacceptable. When we raised it, all they offered was another blanket. We won’t be coming back.

We had a fire ring and picnic table outside the cabin, and they added the fire ring right away when we asked. We had a great time talking around the fire and making s’mores. Inside, everything was set up for a comfortable stay, from linens and blankets to a well-stocked kitchen with cookware, dishes, coffee gear, a microwave, and a toaster. The full-size stove and fridge meant we could make our own meals instead of paying to eat out. The clean, well-kept three-bedroom cabin comfortably fit me, three other guests, and my dog for three nights. Check-in was easy, and we were pleasantly surprised by the place. There was also a futon and a large TV with Netflix in the living room, so another guest could have slept there if needed. The campground changed owners while we were there, and we met the new owner, who had lots of improvement ideas. I’d be glad to stay at Alpine Motel and Cabins again.

I only needed a room for one night while passing through, and this place suited me well. It was quiet, with a pretty lake across the road, and the grounds were tidy. My last available room was cozy and clean, with a country-style look, new A/C, good Wi-Fi, and a nice range of TV channels. Manager Mike and his wife were courteous, and the staff were helpful. I also got a military discount, so it was good value. The new management is investing in renovations, including a roof upgrade.

Never again for us. The carpet was stained and dirty, there were nine air fresheners in the room, and everything looked very dated. The kitchen chairs were stained and had such a 70s look that I didn’t want to sit on them, and the couch was ripped up.
