The hotel is in a fairly isolated spot, but they put real effort into making guests comfortable, especially people staying for work. Berry Molina, one of the housekeepers, was respectful, helpful, and professional. She made the stay much more enjoyable, and her work deserves recognition.

I was left with nowhere to go after a long trip. My flight landed in Midland at 11 pm, then I drove for an hour to get there. I had reserved and prepaid for a room, but when I called the number on the door to check in, I was told it was too late and the person wanted to sleep. No one had told me in writing or otherwise that there was a check-in cutoff. They refused to let me into the room, and sent me away close to 1 in the morning in the middle of nowhere. I’m a woman, and I ended up sleeping in my car. If you book here, don’t count on anyone being there to let you in.

The rooms were filthy, the phone didn’t work, a chair was broken, and there were no smoke alarms. They didn’t even have a pen and paper to write with. The whole place felt like a waste of money. Jose, the property manager, was rude, arrogant, obnoxious, and unpleasant. The owner should get him customer relations training or let him go before he runs the business into the ground. I assume he thinks he can treat guests badly because this is the only motel in town, but there are plenty of places to stay now. Do your research, it’ll be worth it.

The laundry room could use a sweep, though with guests coming and going it’s probably hard to keep tidy. The place itself was clean and neat, just basic. It was run by a sweet young couple, the young man was very helpful, and the cleaning staff were lovely.
