Bear's Den at Sunplace

The beds were comfortable, but the unit really needs a deep cleaning. It could be a nice place to stay if the other issues were fixed. Management’s response to our complaints was very disappointing. They sent a service tech promptly, but nothing was done about the problems. The bedroom TVs didn’t work. Although the property was advertised as having Smart TVs, only the living room set was smart. We were told the owner had canceled the cable service. When we called again, we were told they’d provide a ROKU stick, but that still wasn’t addressed. The portable air conditioner in the master bathroom was unbelievably loud for five minutes. The next two minute cycle sounded like a washing machine agitator, followed by two minutes of bearable noise before the loud cycle started again. The outside deck was missing its umbrella, and there were no bikes or fitness center as advertised.

The house was lovely, and the location was convenient with just the right amenities. The guest manual and the labels on the cabinets and drawers made things easy, and my kids enjoyed the local activity suggestions. We had a nice family stay and couldn’t have chosen a better place.

We had a quick weekend getaway, and the house was lovely and immaculate. It’s right across from the lake, with a gorgeous view from the top balcony. I enjoyed my coffee up there. Everything was clearly labeled, and there were games and movies for rainy evenings. Highly recommend, and I’ll be back!

Deep Creek Fun Zone is about a five-minute walk away, and the grocery store is a four-minute drive. The condo itself was clean and had everything laid out thoughtfully, with free snacks and labels on the drawers and light switches. It’s right across from the lake, with a great view of the Wisp ski slopes.
