Blue Moon Rising

Blue Moon Rising won me over the first time I visited as a wedding planner, so choosing it for our own wedding was easy. The setting is stunning, and having cabins on-site made it simple for our family and friends to stay there. The staff were friendly, organized, and really committed to making the day special. Everything about the venue felt thoughtful. I can't recommend Blue Moon Rising enough if you're looking for a welcoming, beautiful, and distinctive wedding venue in Maryland.

The trees around the cabins and all the beautiful nature made this such a wonderful stay. Our cabin was just right and so cozy that we didn't want to leave. We’ll definitely return. ;-)

We stayed in Kaya, which was just right for two adults. It’s at the top of the hill, so it was a bit of a walk for this Florida boy, though you can drive pretty close to the path. The place is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were wonderful and accommodating. We'll be back!

We had the best staycation and will definitely return. The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The property was quiet even though it’s near the highway, with lots of room to wander and explore. The fire pit looked great, but wind and wildfire risk meant we couldn't use it. We were three adults and a dog, and all of us were comfortable. The cabins are adorable and cozy, and the full bathroom was a lifesaver after hiking the falls. The kitchen is tiny but works well for regular camp meals. The teen made ramen on the hot plate, and we made bagels and reheated pizza in the toaster oven. You're not making a four-course dinner there, but it’s functional.
