We couldn’t get up the driveway because it was covered in ice, and the house wasn’t ready until 7:30pm even though check-in was meant to be at 4pm. Each room had a bathroom, but after one person showered, the next had to wait over an hour. The toilet had plenty of hot water, though. You could see steam when you flushed it. The dishes, bathrooms, and grill were dirty. We couldn’t cook outside because food was stuck to the grill. The office staff offered no help with any of it, but made sure to say we wouldn’t get a refund even if we couldn’t get up the hill. We booked through Railey's. Next time I’ll use Taylor Made instead.

I loved living in this big pink house, which was torn down this month. It sat on a hill above Deep Creek Lake, with a great view of the water and no view of Rt 219 below.

The lake view is lovely, and Brenda’s pizza is just a short distance away. This is my favorite place to stay in Deep Creek: clean, cozy, and somewhere I’d happily recommend to a friend.
