The free cooked breakfast was the highlight. It was amazing, and the waitress was right on top of things. For the price, I thought it was a good choice, and the bed was clean and comfortable. The room had a couple of problems, though: the toilet paper had gotten wet and turned into a lump, my feet were black after walking on the floor, and the pillows had no support. I wouldn't use the coffee machine. I’d seen a comment saying the king room was in a basement, but it wasn’t. It was on the ground floor and had a window. I had my doubts going in, but the staff and service won me over.

We stayed for a few weeks and had no real complaints. It’s a reasonably priced, clean, quiet, and safe place, though it isn’t the newest or fanciest. The staff and front desk were polite and helpful, and there’s coffee in the lobby around the clock. Breakfast was great too, actual food from the restaurant on site. I’d stay here again and recommend it.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you’re in the area. This was easily the worst Quality inn I’ve stayed at. The room smelled, the carpet was filthy, and the sink was clogged. There were crumbs on the sheets and blood stains on the top sheet. It also wasn’t accessible as advertised: my walker’s wheel got stuck on the ramp to the room, and the lobby bathrooms marked for handicapped access weren’t accessible either.

The room itself was in rough shape: dirty bedding, stained carpet, torn curtains, a hole in the bathroom door, water damage under the sink and on the wall by the bed and window, and a fridge that didn’t work. The window was wide open when we arrived, so we moved our car to the space outside it because of the area. In the morning, someone parked beside us and dumped their car trash on the ground. The hallways smelled of weed and burning plastic, and there was garbage by the entrance. The hotel doors didn’t lock, so anyone could wander in. There were fights in the parking lot at 2 am, probably because of the basement bar, and the walls were so thin we could hear the neighbors fighting.

We went to the restaurant both mornings. Breakfast was good the first day, but the next morning the waitresses and kitchen staff were yelling at each other. By the second night, the group in the room beside us was loud, drinking, and possibly using drugs. They slammed doors, acted aggressively with one another, cursed, and talked about sexual things. My kids were asleep before the group arrived around 11, and I didn’t call the front desk because I feared retaliation. Honestly, I felt the staff already knew and wouldn’t stop them. Things finally quieted down around 2:30. The first night had been uneventful, though we were uncomfortable. I was already angry that there was no security and anyone could walk in. Groups were drinking in the parking lot, and the back door was propped open. I don’t feel this is a safe hotel, and we’ll never come back. We’d only booked for two nights, arriving after check-in time with our two small children. The hallway was full of trash, towels, a lamp, and other things workers had removed from rooms, as if they were waiting to be picked up. We had to step over beer bottles and dirty towels on the way to our room. It looked old and dirty, and the toilet base had what looked like cigarette burns. Paint had been picked off the walls in many places, as if someone had sat there pulling at it. It looked like a room used for drugs. We were only there to sleep, and because it was so last-minute, we couldn’t find another place that wouldn’t cost almost $1,000 for two nights. We put up with it, but I wouldn’t let the kids shower there. They used the bath houses on Presque Isle instead.
