The staff were genuinely friendly, and I don’t blame them for the breakfast policy. But what they serve barely qualifies: coffee, juice, butter, cream cheese, and packaged muffins, which you can warm in a microwave or maybe a toaster. When I asked, the front desk said corporate allows just one packaged breakfast item. Apparently that applies across Days Inn’s locations, so the “breakfast” advertising feels misleading. Breakfast matters because it saves time and money, especially when traveling with family. If a hotel advertises it but doesn’t offer basics like milk or protein, customers have little reason to return. The dining area wasn’t crowded, at least. I expect a clean, quiet room and can handle a little hallway noise with earplugs. I hadn’t stayed at a Days Inn for a while, and it’ll be a long time before I try another.
I was told at check-in that my online booking card had been declined. I showed the confirmation email, and the clerk said it was fine, but needed a card on file for a $50 deposit that would be refunded after checkout. Then he said my card wasn’t working properly and entered it manually. Now my bank account shows multiple charges. When I called to sort it out, they couldn’t find my stay in their system. The worst hotel stay I’ve had. Do not stay here!
The room was clean when I arrived, the bathroom worked, parking was available, and it was quiet at night. Staff were helpful too. The room itself was pretty standard. Breakfast was only coffee, orange juice, muffins, and other carbs, so the “free breakfast” was a joke. Still, it’s a very cheap hotel.
My boyfriend and I stopped feeling safe after someone opened our room door at about 2:10 in the morning. In the dark, we saw hallway light and a person’s silhouette. When we got up, the door wasn’t fully closed. I went to the front desk, where the manager showed me security footage, but kept skipping around and couldn’t show the footage from the time I asked for. He kept bringing up recordings from around 1:30 instead. It made me feel like evidence was being hidden. The room was also extremely hot, so we had to sleep with the windows open, though that wasn’t my main concern. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this didn’t sit right with me, and I’d hate for it to happen to someone else. I don’t recommend staying here.
The smell was the first thing we noticed in the empty lobby, and it followed us through the whole hotel and into our room. We’d picked the place for its good location and price, so that was a disappointing start. The clerk took several minutes to come check us in. Luckily it was pleasant outside and the windows opened, which gave us a little relief, though the bathroom was still hard to bear. We struggled to sleep but got through the night. Breakfast the next morning didn’t help: just bagels, bread, and small muffins. The juice machine was being worked on, and even after they said it was working again, we didn’t trust it. We left as quickly as we could. I rarely write a bad review, but I wouldn’t return.
