Those recent reviews are right, I was shocked at how clean and comfortable this place is, especially for the price. I’m a diamond member with Hilton, and this room beat some of the recent Hampton stays I’ve had. The owners were friendly and even replaced the thermostat batteries, so there weren’t any issues. A nice extra touch: the mattresses have zippered protective covers.

The location is convenient, close to Peoria and Bloomington, with a restaurant called Dixie right by the hotel that has almost every kind of food you could want. The front desk staff serve you quickly, and the AC and TV both work well. But the room and hotel smelled bad most of the time, like body odor mixed with rotten food, and the odor clings to you. Even the comfortable beds smelled because it had spread through the whole place. The showers barely work. You have to pull the tub knob up really hard to switch to shower mode, and it makes an awful noise. The temperature controls are confusing too. The toilet paper and tissues are rough, the fridge doesn’t get very cold, and the old microwave’s glass plate keeps slipping off track and clanking. The room keys also stop working randomly a lot, so you’ll probably need the front desk to fix them multiple times if you stay more than one night. If you have to stay in McClean, this is probably good enough. But if you can, stay in Bloomington at the Days Inn for similar pricing. The rooms are better, smell better, and feel more modern.

The room was quiet, and I slept peacefully on a bed with five amazing pillows. It was so clean I couldn’t find a single hair anywhere. I’m nervous about germs and usually hate hotels, but I felt comfortable and at home here. Having McDonald’s right next door made it easy to get my favorite Diet Coke in the morning. Great price too, and I’ll definitely stay here again when I’m visiting the Bloomington area.

The price was good, and the room and the rest of the motel I saw were clean. The staff at check-in were very nice. Breakfast was just ho hum, which is why I’m giving four stars. We’d stay again.

I was exhausted around 1 am after a colitis episode in a truck stop bathroom, and I just needed a place to sleep and recover. The room was so clean, with a comfortable bed and lots of extra pillows. The night clerk didn’t judge me or make jokes, even though I probably seemed drunk. He got me a room quickly and easily. I’ll always appreciate that overnight employee who helped me in the early morning of 11-20-2025.
