Douglas on Third

The house was thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed in the kitchen when I baked a dish for tailgating. It’s spacious and clean, has four bedrooms, a pet-friendly back yard, and very comfortable beds with nice linens. We had a lovely weekend at The Bungalow on 7th Street. We walked about seven blocks, or 12 minutes, to The Doulas on 3rd street to meet friends and enjoy the downtown restaurants. We definitely recommend it and will be back!

We liked how thoughtfully designed and appointed our very clean room was, and the soft linens were much appreciated. We stayed in #5 The Family Suite, in an interior room. The listing calls the view an “atrium view,” but really it’s just a small slice of space between your room and the windows opposite. Anyone with claustrophobia might find that difficult. There’s also a wine bar right below, and we could hear loud music until 10pm, or a little later in our case. Management told us about it after we reached out, but we wish we’d known beforehand. For what we paid, more transparency about those two details would have been appreciated. It’s a lovely place in the heart of McMinnville, and I’d consider staying again.

The rooms had all the little things we needed for a comfortable stay, including coffee, a TV with free Hulu, toiletries, dishes, and a mini fridge. They were tastefully decorated, too. The Douglas is perfectly placed for walking to the best downtown tasting rooms on 3rd street, and the freeways were easy to access for driving to any winery in Willamette Valley within 30 minutes. Great value, and we’d definitely stay again.

The complimentary wine from Pikes Road Winery next door was first rate. Our room was spacious, and the care put into the little details made the stay extra special. We truly enjoyed our time at Douglas on Third. Highly recommended.
