DoubleTree by Hilton Washington Meadow Lands Casino Area

Danielle, our main coordinator, was a rockstar from the start. She made time for meetings, answered questions quickly, and kept everything moving smoothly with all our vendors. We booked our wedding at DoubleTree knowing we were in good hands, and the whole experience exceeded our expectations. The venue looked stunning, and the team handled our decorations, name cards, and ceremony chairs exactly as we’d imagined. Getting ready was exceptionally organized, which made the day stress-free and enjoyable. The food was amazing, and our guests raved about the chicken and salmon. We own a business in the service industry, so we noticed the care that went into every detail. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone at DoubleTree for making our wedding so special. We highly recommend the venue to couples wanting a smooth, magical day. The hotel is undergoing renovations. That happens to hotels over the years, and people need to lighten up. If you hear some noise, so what? Just move along.

The rooms have been renovated and look nice, and the staff are super friendly. There’s a shuttle to the casino, and Maxwell's food is great. It felt like a home away from home, and it’s one of the better hotels I’ve stayed at in Washington, PA. I’d definitely recommend it.

We booked back in January for the International Studebaker Meet, but the hotel wasn’t prepared for the number of people staying there, even though it was the host hotel. The room coffee pot wasn’t K-cup compatible, despite being told it was. My requested microwave took three tries to arrive, even though I’d asked well in advance. The first morning, a propane problem meant the restaurant couldn’t cook breakfast. They put out a free continental spread, and we got what we paid for. Getting to the elevators meant tackling a very steep staircase. There are six floors, but the only working ice and water machine was on the third. The free Wi-Fi was worse than our hotspot, and charging awards members $4 for premium access is nuts. We also found a dirty sock under the bed, so housekeeping is questionable. At least the remodeled shower was wonderful, though the bathroom was so small only one person could fit in it at a time. Not the best place to stay.

My renovated room was nice, with very good upgraded bedding, but the public areas still looked dated. The property was under renovation while I was there. The banquet room may have been updated, but it hadn’t been cleaned before the event. The mirrors were dirty, so I couldn’t trust that the rest of the space was clean either.
