Hampton Inn Richmond-Mechanicsville

The bed was very comfortable, breakfast tasted good, and Ms. Hope Brooks was pleasant and helpful. But there was hair on the washcloth, the toilet was clogged, and the carpet throughout the hotel was dirty. Worst of all, I found bed bugs. This was my first stay here, and it’ll be my last.

I’ve been staying here for weeks after my home flooded, and the staff have been awesome. The atmosphere is quiet, the place is clean, the beds are very comfortable, and it’s close to everything, just blocks from Interstate 295. I’d recommend staying here. Jason, the overnight clerk, is respectful and efficient. He brings me what I need, even fixed the TV, and gets things done as soon as I ask. Faylon changed my sheets and brought supplies, and Parker has also brought me things whenever I needed them, always respectfully. Christina and Liz arrange room service when needed and are very respectful. Lawrence and Hope make a wonderful breakfast and are kind, too. Rosa from room service is kind and respectful, and promptly brings exactly what I need for my room. They have run out of towels and sheets a couple of times, so I’d recommend keeping more in stock.

Hope was great in the breakfast room, and the staff overall were great. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy, and it was quiet. There’s a pool, though we didn’t use it. The elevator was out, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs to the third floor. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault.

Hope, the new staff member, treated me so well. She has a great personality and really puts guests first. Management is always friendly, and the staff are absolutely amazing. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anybody.
