Traveling for work as a mom, I felt especially safe here. The parking lot didn’t have many sketchy people around, and for the price, it’s hard to beat. My son loved the pool, while I could easily keep an eye on him from the layout. The hot tub was relaxing, and the room felt beautiful, almost like a spa. Breakfast was delicious, the host was kind, and the atmosphere was friendly. Service was great, and they were ready to help with anything. Clarion in Medford is at the top of my list. Some of the older reviews look false to me, maybe from people trying to scam free things instead of earning them.

After a long day of driving, the tub was just right. The room itself was lovely, spacious, and sparkling clean, and the staff and amenities made us happy with the stay. Breakfast comes with the rate, and the buffet had plenty of nice choices. It was a pleasure finding such a good hotel so close to a major freeway.

Good location, and parking is included. The hotel looks very nice, though the breakfast was only just okay. The pool was cold, and the hot tub was alright but had a smell. Pool towels looked like garage towels. Not having a safe in the room was a big negative for us.

The good things: the A/C worked really well, and the bed, blankets, and pillows were decent enough for a good night’s sleep. The pool and hot tub were clean and heated, with small towels available. The TV could connect to a laptop, which was handy, and the mini fridge let you turn the temperature up. The shower head was better in the room we moved to on another floor. There were problems in both rooms. The mini fridges hadn’t been cleaned out and still held items from previous guests. In the first room, the thermostat had been ripped from the wall; elsewhere, the tub was so low it was easy for water to spill onto the floor. There was a crack in the shower, a broken closet door, stains under the chair cushion, a cigarette burn on the blanket, and a cigarette butt on the floor. The room smelled of smoke despite the signs and supposed rules. Fruit flies or gnats kept circling us, and housekeeping never changed the sheets. If you didn’t hang a do-not-disturb sign, they’d knock and wake you at 9 a.m. Getting toilet paper or towels was a hassle because staff weren’t attentive. The front desk people seemed to hide and reluctant to do their jobs. They’d give only one thin, one-ply roll, which could be gone by the next night. Calling didn’t help, since they wouldn’t pick up. Employees had no uniforms or name tags. The elevator was slow and rickety, luggage carts were tiny, and some outlets didn’t work. Door keys quit every 3-4 days. The smoke detector went off in the early morning for no reason, and the phone rang three times another morning without explanation. The alarm clock and TV showed the wrong times, and the TV kept turning itself on at 11:10 a.m. The juice machine never worked, and the already mediocre breakfast selection got even smaller. The hotel has a no-locals rule and means it, but homeless people were allowed to patrol inside and outside all day. The front doors lock at 10 p.m., so that’s a problem for late check-ins or staying out late. If you bring a pet, they might charge $250-$300. The tiny lotion bottle was another small annoyance. DoorDash drivers kept getting confused about finding the room. They seemed to clean the upper floors more aggressively than the first floor. After all that, would you want to stay here?

Lisa at the front desk at Clarion Pointe went out of her way to fix a mix-up about my package return. She even offered to take my things to the USPS on her day off. That kind of professional, dedicated care is rare, and I really appreciated how much she cared about my experience. Her kindness resolved the issue so selflessly. Thank you, Lisa!
