The hotel was great, with friendly staff and a clean room that had everything I needed. Breakfast was the best part of the stay: the food was good, and the service was even better. Ramona, the breakfast attendant, was so friendly and helpful. She explained the options, had plates and utensils ready, set our table before we sat down, and cleared things away when we were done. It felt like having our own server, and I really appreciated how kind she was.

The hotel is clean and comfortable, and most of the staff we met were pleasant, helpful, and informative. It’s close to Assembly Row and Wellington Station, so getting around Boston is easy if you’re okay taking the trains, which are easy enough to figure out. The late-night arrival was a mess. I’m a Marriott Gold member, and although I was checked into a room automatically at 7:24 p.m., no mobile key came through. My flight was late, and the Logan rental car process took a long time, so we didn’t get to the hotel until after 1 a.m. I expected to pick up keys at the desk, but the lobby was empty. I called “hello” several times and waited over ten minutes. I even considered going behind the desk to check whether someone was asleep or worse in the back office. My room number was already assigned, and my card had been charged $1,450 for three nights, yet I was stuck there. Eventually, a man came down the elevator, asked if I was checking in, then went behind the counter and asked for my ID and credit card. He wore a holy black sweater, with no uniform or name tag. It took about 20 minutes from arriving before we got into our room. If the night auditor is the only person in the building at 1 a.m. and has to leave the desk, the hotel should put up a sign saying when they’ll be back. I don’t know if that would have made waiting alone feel better, but at least I’d have known someone was meant to be there. The whole thing was surreal and uncomfortable. No fresh waffle makes up for staring at an empty desk for ten minutes, hoping to get into a room I’d been checked into five hours earlier and already paid for. Please do better for late arrivals. I can’t be the only one whose airport trip runs long. Every minute of sleep matters when you fly coast to coast for a few days to attend your daughter’s graduation.

The location is handy, close to Costco, several shopping centers, and major highway access. But full on-site paid parking is limited and shared with other businesses, so we had to use the main garage across the street. After a 12-hour trip, we checked in at 4 p.m. We’d asked in advance for a quiet floor, but got a room on the fourth floor, where things were anything but peaceful. All night there was shouting, running in the halls, knocking, and slamming doors, with several incidents that needed staff attention. It felt more like an unsupervised party than a place to rest. After nearly no sleep, I called the front desk around 7 the next morning to report the noise and ask for another room or floor. I needed just a few hours of rest before my speaking engagement that day. They said no other rooms were available and offered points as compensation. When I later checked, the points credited didn’t match what we’d initially been told. The location is a clear advantage, but the poor noise management and the discrepancy in service left us with an unpleasant stay.

The rooms were really nice, and the breakfast and restroom staff were very good. It can be a little tricky to find because the hotel is surrounded by other large buildings. You’ll probably need to park in the garage and walk over. If that’s not an issue for you, I strongly recommend it.

We had two rooms nearby where people kept slamming doors. We called the front desk, but no one helped, and we eventually left because we couldn’t sleep. At the time, we weren’t given a refund, so my first reaction was not to stay here. Update: I spoke with Sophia and manager Meagan, and they told us we’d get a full refund. They were both kind and understanding. We’ll consider giving the hotel another try.
