AmericInn by Wyndham Memphis East

I’ve been staying at the AmericInn by Wyndham Memphis East since November 28th to have a quiet place to study, and it’s been a blessing. The location is convenient and felt safe, and housekeeping kept my room spotless so I could settle in and focus. From the start, the front desk team greeted me warmly and professionally. They were patient and caring with every request, and I’m grateful for how often they went above and beyond. Special thanks to Mrs. Monica, her husband Mr. N, and the rest of the team. Their kindness made the stay comfortable and uplifting, and I’ll remember their hospitality.

Monica was very sweet and nice, so she gets five stars from us. Everything else gets two, and we won’t come back. We paid $101 to stay until 3pm, as agreed when we paid. Someone knocked at noon about checkout, and Monica at the desk confirmed by phone that we had until 3. Still, the guy came back two more times, so we finally packed up and left. Then we noticed someone had tried to break into our vehicle. The rear handle was broken and tampered with.

It’s very cheap if you’re just passing through, but the hotel and facilities feel run-down, poorly maintained, and dirty in places. Our door locks were broken, and trying to open the door gave us a mild shock. The front desk staff and pleasant lobby were the best parts. We also found out that if you aren’t up early, you miss breakfast, even at 8am.

The online prices seem good for what you get, and Monica is the reason I keep coming back to Americinn by Wyndham. She’s always at the front desk, working, and greets you with a real smile. She’s sweet, helpful, attentive, understanding, and honest, and she tries to be fair while still doing her job. I do notice what I’d call various smoke scents, but I know the owner and staff are working to get control of that. Monica makes every visit excellent for me.
