Mrs. Duffie was the highlight of breakfast. She was warm, kind, and great to talk with while keeping the food stocked, fresh, and hot all by herself. She also said she drives the free guest shuttle to Graceland and picks people up afterward. That’s a fantastic perk, and the many other reviews praising her are deserved. At check-in, Donna was just as lovely, with a warm welcome and a positive attitude that made us feel comfortable right away. We came from Atlanta, Georgia, for my mom’s birthday and a visit to Graceland, and the friendly staff set a happy tone from the start. The Holiday Inn Express on Elvis Presley Blvd in Memphis looks new, contemporary, and well maintained. Blue lights outside at night give it a polished look. Gated parking helped us feel safer, since the surrounding neighborhood felt a bit sketchy and returning at night was a little intimidating. The location isn’t ideal, but the gate put us more at ease. Our room was nice, with a big comfortable bed, sheets that seemed clean, and a giant-screen TV. Netflix and YouTube wouldn’t open even though the remote had buttons for them, but that wasn’t a dealbreaker. We were here for a good time, not a long time. We also appreciated having coffee and hot tea available around the clock. It was a great stay with staff who made it special. If I come back to Memphis, I’d stay here again, especially for a Graceland visit.

The bed and pillows were winners, and I’m picky. The TV was large and easy to use. The staff were wonderful, including the overnight and early morning crew. I didn’t try breakfast, but the greeting cookie was a nice touch. I’d like the hotel to be a little closer to the airport, though they offer shuttles, so it’s no big deal. I’ve been a Hilton Diamond and Gold member, but staying at these Holiday Inn Expresses is making me reconsider. FYI, the rib joint down the street offers free pickup and drop-off in its pink Cadillac. Maybe bring a couple of bucks cash for a tip.

The room smelled really clean and the bed was so comfortable. Everyone provided amazing, friendly service, and they even took me to the airport on their shuttle at the last minute. I’ll stay here again. Thanks to Miss Duffy, Tara, and Michelle at the front desk!

We only spent one night, but it was enjoyable from check-in through checkout. The woman who checked us in was cheerful and welcoming, which set a nice tone. We had some delicious barbecue nearby, and breakfast was great, served cafeteria style. Duffy in the kitchen made the morning extra special. She was such a bright spot and gets five stars from us!

I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels for work, but I haven’t had this kind of genuine kindness and hospitality before. Ms. Tara welcomed me Monday evening so warmly, and Ms. Michelle and Ms. Duffie went out of their way at breakfast to make me feel comfortable and cared for. Their attention and sincere friendliness made all the difference. My stay at the Holiday Inn on Elvis Presley Boulevard in Memphis was exceptional, and I’ll absolutely come back. Thank you!
