Mornings with coffee, evenings around the fire, hammocks and wooded paths all made the stay feel carefully put together. Mendocino is easy to reach, and the property somehow feels both communal and private. The tents are comfortable and nicely styled, with cozy beds and impressively clean bathrooms and showers. Mendocino Grove brings together redwoods, ocean air, firelight, thoughtful design, and relaxed but sophisticated hospitality. This is glamping done right, an outdoor retreat with real atmosphere rather than a gimmick or a hotel dressed up as a campsite. For people who like nature, design, and a strong sense of place, it's a destination on its own.

Walking around this lovely seaside town was a pleasure, with picturesque streets and plenty of shops, cafés, and places to explore. The ocean views, colorful flowers, and vivid greenery made it a highlight of our trip. It was an easy place to relax, enjoy the coast, and make some wonderful memories.

We come here every year and love our time here. The setting, accommodations, and grounds are beautiful, and the staff are amazing. We also enjoy the perks, especially the massage services and breakfast in the mornings.

Our first visit, and everything from the family tent and facilities to the service was really wonderful. Getting into town was easy, and the outdoor cedar showers were a 10 out of 10. We had a great time overall. I'd love a few more breakfast choices, especially for kids, but everything else was great. We'll have to come back!

A yoga class during our girls' getaway set the tone for the trip in the best way. Most of us had never tried glamping, and this place raised the bar for doing it again. We liked the outdoor showers, with enclosed stalls that have open sections of roof so you can take in the surroundings. They'd thought of useful touches too, from heated sheets and rentable campfire tool boxes to several single-room bathroom stalls for longer visits. The tents are quite close together, though. We heard the man next door snoring loudly, and the kids two tents away woke us at 7 a.m.
