Springhill Suites By Marriott Menomonee Falls

I’m disappointed in how management handled our cancellation. We booked a room for the weekend after Christmas, but a blizzard was forecast for the next day. We didn’t want to risk driving home in it, so I called the hotel and explained the situation, asking if they’d consider waiving the charge because of the weather. The person I spoke with said they’d look into it, but I never heard back. Marriott Customer Service opened a case for me, and after several weeks without an update, I contacted them again. They said the hotel manager had denied it because the weather was fine in Milwaukee. It may have been fine in Milwaukee, but the route we would have driven was hit by a major blizzard, and we would have been stuck in the middle of it. I know management will point to the rule against cancellations within 24 hours of the booking date, but I’ve been a Marriott member for years and hoped they’d show a little flexibility given the forecast where we were. They kept the $150 I paid for the night, but neither I, my family, nor my friends will stay there again. Great business decision!

Cammie was a fantastic first contact when we were looking into room blocks, and she gave us a tour a year before the wedding. We chose SpringHill Suites Marriott hotel in Menomonee Falls because it was close to our home and wedding venue. Teeka, the manager, was outstanding throughout the year of planning. She checked in regularly, was kind and supportive, and adapted when plans changed. Her responses were quick and her outlook positive. Our guests enjoyed their rooms and had a great stay. We also rented the meeting room for a guest meet and greet; it was a great space and was set up nicely. I’d highly recommend SpringHill Suites for a wedding or event in the Menomonee Falls area, and a big shoutout to Teeka for helping with our large group.

Breakfast was very good, but I couldn’t help noticing a guest repeatedly walking back to his room with food for his family, barefoot each time. Staff were interacting with him, so surely they noticed. They should have asked him to put shoes on. The hotel seemed very clean when I arrived and walked to my room, which was mostly fine, roomy, and laid out nicely. But there was a Dorito and part of a cookie on the floor, so housekeeping hadn’t done a great job after the previous guest. I didn’t trust walking around without shoes. The water filling station in the workout room was broken. Water dripped out too slowly to be useful and tasted off, and I couldn’t find a bubbler nearby.

This was one of our best hotel stays in a while. The staff were helpful and nice, breakfast was fantastic, and the place was extremely clean and well maintained. It also seemed like a newer building and felt like great value. The location was great, too. My only small complaint is that the pool is a bit small, but it wasn’t a big deal. We had a great time.
