Rodeway Inn Near University-Gateway to Yosemite

The place is VERY clean inside and out, but I’m still trying to get my deposit back. They say they put through the $100 return to my credit card. I use Cash App, which shows all activity right away, and there’s no refund showing. When I call, they keep saying they already posted the deposit. If it’s not back on my card by this time tomorrow, they’ll have me camping out in their lobby. Very suspicious.

The rooms are decent, though the A/C sits too far in the corner to cool the whole room. The bigger problem is the deposit. They’ll take it for things like blankets, pillows, or towels on the floor, and for female nature stains, hair dye stains, and who knows what else. The GM was helpful, but the supervisor was a total hothead. She needs to be replaced with someone more mannerly who can speak English and knows business. Please don’t stay here. Save yourself a bad time, an argument, and lost money.

We couldn’t wait to leave. I cancelled our last two nights and moved to another hotel. I was being bitten, but when I told them, they said they didn’t have bed bugs. That was their solution, even though I said it could be fleas or something else biting me. They refused to give me a receipt and said it would be emailed. The pool water had a film on it. Even if I’d been able to get into the pool area, I probably wouldn’t have gone in. The service was unacceptable. Don’t go here.

The woman at the front desk has a serious attitude problem and speaks to guests with blatant disrespect. They’ll look for any excuse to keep your deposit. Avoid this place at all costs.
