The room was clean, quiet, and fairly inexpensive, but there were very few frills. It’s set back a little from a main road, so it could be easy to miss if you aren’t looking for it. The listing says there’s a balcony, though our room didn’t have one. It smelled a bit moldy, and it seemed like some people lived there. The shower was extremely tight. At 5'9" and 165 pounds, I could barely wash my hair, never mind shave my legs. There was no tub, no room service for fresh toiletries, and no phone in the room. Check-in was at a different location about 10 minutes away.

We stayed here midweek during Bike Week and would come back. It was affordable and away from the mayhem at the Weir's down the street. The room had a king bed, plus a separate kitchen and living room. It was nice, and the cleaning and towel service were excellent.

For the price, this was a clean, tidy little stopover, conveniently close to Meredith and other conveniences. There are bear ornaments crammed into the rooms, a bit over the top, and the beds could be more comfortable. Still, you get what you pay for.

I booked for the same night through hotels.com, but only learned when I arrived at midnight that the property had no front desk and expected an advance call before check-in. That wasn't made clear to me. I called the number provided, and a very sleepy clerk mumbled that there was no reservation under my name. Nobody could help, so I had to find somewhere else to stay. Management also chose not to refund any of the night's cost. Booking through hotels.com apparently involves extra steps, and that should be clearly explained, or the refund policy should be more flexible. The information as presented is misleading. Terrible experience.
