Colonial Inn & Suites

The beds were comfortable, and having a fridge and microwave was a plus, but I wouldn't stay again. There were bugs in the room, the towels were dirty, and there wasn't any shampoo. The sink leaked across the counter, paint was peeling and cracked, and the advertised coffee maker was missing. The breakfast was skimpy, and I couldn't figure out why the room lock could be disengaged.

The owners were genuinely kind, and I wish them well, but we won't be back. We came for a quiet anniversary weekend and instead had police called about five times because of other guests. On the Fourth of July we were kept up all night, then fighting and music started again while we tried to nap. The pool was crowded with too many kids and no social distancing. Our room was only partly renovated and was missing a light. A lot of what happened wasn't in the owners' control.

The room was unbelievably clean, and everyone on staff was so friendly. My husband and I had a lovely little getaway, and the prices were reasonable. I'd definitely come back.

We only stayed because we had to stop in an emergency and couldn't find another hotel at the last minute. It's run down and filthy, and the photos make it look much better than it really is. Good luck.
