Home2 Suites by Hilton Meridian

I’ve stayed at this property about a dozen times or more, but this visit disappointed me. The bathroom floor was nasty, and there was just one washcloth and one bath towel. The kitchenette had one spoon and no drinking glasses. I told the front desk person about the floor and asked for more washcloths. She replied, “really?” but did give me more. This is the second stay in a row with very poor housekeeping. The previous one was at Home 2 in Alabama a few weeks ago. I included a photo of the bathroom floor.

The breakfast was satisfying and stayed well stocked, even with a large school/JROTC group there. The busy area was kept clean too. Our room, including the sofa bed, was comfortable and very clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The stay met our expectations.

The shower door rail was covered in black mold and moss, and I had to clean it myself. Dried food scraps were on the sink, and the door to the adjoining room was dirty, whether from careless cleaning or deliberate contamination. The overall cleaning was poor, and the handles and other surfaces felt sticky or oily, which was uncomfortable.

The breakfast was good, but the bananas were dark, old, and mushy. I was very disappointed with my two-night stay and won’t return. I wasn’t acknowledged as an honors member or given water at check-in. The room was dirty, with soap scum on the holders by the sink and in the shower, and long hairs in the bathroom sink drawer. The lamp next to the sofa didn’t work. Worst of all, after the first day my room wasn’t cleaned, the trash wasn’t taken out, the bed wasn’t made, and no towels were put in the bathroom.
