Sleep Inn & Suites Merrillville

A cockroach in the room ruined the vacation for me, especially since the staff didn’t seem to care when I told them. The place also wasn’t clean: there were hairs in the shower, and the in-room coffee maker had no pot. Breakfast was missing fruit, and the waffle mix was empty. The hallways were as cold as outdoors, and my freezing room didn’t warm up until the next day. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

After driving more than five hours from Missouri to Indiana for work, I was exhausted. Mamta at the front desk greeted me warmly as soon as I arrived and made me feel welcome. My first room had a slight smoking smell, apparently by mistake, and she promptly offered to move me so I’d be comfortable. She handled it with real care and professionalism, and her kindness stood out after such a long trip. Mamta goes out of her way to make guests feel looked after. Thank you for the wonderful service, she’s the reason I’d return and recommend the hotel.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well kept, and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The woman at reception was especially friendly and fabulous, she made me feel right at home. The hotel is easy to reach and in a convenient spot. Management is doing a great job keeping up the standards, and I’d recommend staying here when visiting the area.

The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and service was excellent throughout my stay. As a Choice Privileges member, I’d recommend this hotel. The woman at reception made check-in easy and pleasant with her warm, professional welcome. I appreciated the hospitality and plan to return on my next trip.
