The breakfast was a nice bonus, with eggs, sausage or bacon, and the bagel toaster and cream cheese I liked. My brother was happy with the waffle maker. There’s a small outdoor pool and hot tub, both looking clean, and a grassy spot for walking dogs. Japanese steakhouse and Red Robin are right next door. The rooms were pleasant, with clean, soft bedding and separate sleeping and sitting areas divided by the bathroom and closet, though there’s no door between them. My room at the front was quiet; my brother’s room at the back faced the Interstate and had a lot of traffic noise. The elevator shook and made a terrible sound, and my key card failed repeatedly. Over four days I went to the desk at least six times to get it replaced. Check-in was confusing: my daughter put my card on my brother’s room and his card on mine, while leaving the rooms in our names. I was charged for both rooms and had to request a partial refund. The price felt a little high to me, though my daughter had booked there, so the rest of us did too. I was also disappointed the shuttle only serves Mesa regional airport, not Phoenix’s Sky Harbor International Airport. There’s a rental car return office at the hotel, but no Sky Harbor shuttle. It was a pleasant stay, but next time I’ll push for the hotel next door.

I was visiting relatives who were staying there and got to look around. The lobby was nice, and so were the room, pool, and breakfast area. The people seemed nice too. The gym equipment looked good, but both treadmills and the elliptical were out of order, leaving only a recumbent bike and free weights. That’s not acceptable.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from and the staff were great, though the place could use an update. The rooms feel dated, and the carpet and furniture are ready to be replaced, but the bed was comfortable, the water hot, and the AC worked. The freeway is close; the AC noise covered it enough for me, though that might bother some people. There are lots of restaurants around. The hotel sits behind a bar and felt a little sketchy, but I still felt safe.

We landed late in Phoenix/Mesa for business and were glad this Country Inn & Suites, about 5 miles from the airport, had a shuttle. The driver was prompt and pleasant, and kept quiet, which I appreciated around midnight. The front desk clerk was friendly and got us checked in quickly, though she was a bit chatty for my tired self. There were some handy touches, like a night light on the hair dryer holder, and breakfast was tasty with a decent range of choices. The third-floor room was okay, but the bed felt lumpy and the pillows were tiny square ones. The toilet leaned to the left. We had an accessible room, which was fine, but the tub sat much higher than the floor, making the step out of the shower feel dangerous. The curtain looked close to falling apart, as if someone had grabbed it while getting out. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers also confused me until I figured out you push the front. There were a few other cosmetic problems too. Still, it was a pretty nice room and a nice place to stay.

Really clean room and the hospitality was awesome. The AC wasn't as cold as I'd have liked because the thermostat was locked. I was right by the elevator but wasn't disturbed by much noise. I'd recommend staying here.
