The staff were kind and helpful, and the lobby felt welcoming. I liked the clean room, little pool, and good workout space. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The nearby mall shown on maps is closed, and Scottsdale and other major areas are a bit of a drive, but our options were limited, so we didn't mind the short trip.

We had a balcony overlooking the clean pool, which was nice, and there were plenty of towels. The big-screen TV was good too. One elevator was working, and that was all we needed. I noticed the elevator at the other end of the hotel wasn't working.

Aaliyah and Jackie work so well together. I was excited to be in Arizona, and their hard work made me feel welcome as soon as I arrived. I wanted to take a moment to recognize and compliment them both.

I heard the cleaning ladies talking, not knowing whether I spoke español. They were saying there were too many rooms and too much work, and that the new cleaner was behind and doing too much. They laughed and said she wouldn't last long. Then I thought about it: too many rooms and not enough time can mean bacteria and illness. I'm not coming back. Thanks, cleaning ladies.

Our one-night stay went badly. The debit card was charged twice, and we got neither loyalty points nor an invoice. Trying to sort it out has been frustrating. Marriott representatives have either ignored the errors they made or sent replies that don't make sense, apparently to avoid dealing with the obvious.
