Getting a usable room took about eight moves on our first day, and the whole stay was frustrating. We first got Room 145, where the toilet didn’t work, then Room 147, with broken air conditioning, and then Room 148, which had only one bed even though we’d booked two. The room assignment process appeared to be run through a shared Google Sheet with names moved by hand. It seemed disorganized, and rooms were reassigned without proper checks, which affected our reservation. We eventually got a room that was acceptable, but it had holes in the bed sheets, hair in the bathtub, and no TV remote. Later, after going to the French Quarter, we returned around 9 p.m. and found ourselves locked out, with all our belongings inside. We tried to get help for about an hour, but the office was closed and unattended. Around 10:30 p.m., an employee helped us. She said she was on her lunch break and had locked the office. We were then told that the room had already been booked for another guest and we’d been moved there by mistake. This fell well below reasonable expectations for guest service, organization, and accommodations. I’d appreciate a review of what happened and a response explaining how these issues will be addressed.

This motel was absolutely disgusting, and staying there was a hassle. I spent five nights there and had to change rooms twice because of a “mix up.” The second room was five times better than the first, but still gross. There were mold spots growing on the ceiling, a dirty ring in the tub, and roaches. Nobody came to make the bed with clean sheets or take out our trash. Spare towels weren’t replaced until day three because the laundry room machines were down. I had no key to either room and had to go to the office to get the door manually unlocked. Men knocked on my room door asking for a man by name, and I refused to answer or open it. If you’re a woman, don’t stay here alone. At shift changes and on the night shift, people kept gathering in the lobby. I’d sit there for 30 minutes, then find no one there, so they could lock up and walk me to my room. I couldn’t post pictures because there was no option, but if I find a way I’ll post them separately. Maybe $100 a night for a quick activity, but definitely not for an out-of-state trip hotel. I don’t recommend it.

The staff were nice, but this motel was so nasty. The curtains in our room had bandages holding a rip together, there was no fridge, the bathroom door had holes in it, and every sheet had cigarette holes. The big lock was missing too.

I used to stay at this motel often, but I understand there are new owners now. They didn’t even have a trash can in the room, and when I asked for one, they didn’t give me one. The room was tiny for $75 a night, and the TV was so small I could barely see it. At checkout, at 11:03, a young black gay guy pounded on the door like the sheriff’s department, in a very violent way. When I opened it to say I was coming to pay, he yelled that I’d better do it right that minute. This was my first night, and I’d never met him before or given him any problem. His behavior caused a lot of distress for my wife and me. There were also a lot of roaches and a very bad odor. I won’t stay here again. Think about it before paying this price. There are lots of good, more up-to-date places in the area for less. Do your research.

The staff were friendly, but there were still parking lot zombies!
