1 Hotel South Beach

The hotel is beautiful, and my daughter loved the pool, which saved the trip. But check-in and luggage service were slow over the holiday weekend, and her birthday dessert turned into a three-day saga. On the first night, we ordered dessert at Watr on the rooftop. A huge thunderstorm arrived just as it was about to come out, leaving us soaked. The staff kindly brought towels, though I did wonder about seating guests outside in a storm. The next evening we chose to have cake in our room. The server said she'd return with a candle, then disappeared for 30 minutes. When I called downstairs, I learned candles aren't allowed in the rooms. After all that waiting, someone even took the dessert away from my very confused 3-year-old. A manager later apologized by message and invited us to breakfast at Aviv to make it right with birthday dessert. We went, but no dessert appeared there either. The follow-up message only arrived after we had checked out. Handling three meltdowns from my disappointed toddler over the missing birthday candle was honestly tough.

Matt greeted me at the front door when I arrived at 2am, then told me he'd upgraded me to a 1 Bedroom Suite. I hadn't expected that, and it set a great tone for the stay. I booked through Amex, so I had complimentary breakfast, a $100 resort credit, and 4pm late checkout. The hotel went beyond those perks. I ordered a Wagyu cheeseburger at 4am, and it was phenomenal. In the morning I headed to the rooftop pool and WATR. The beach, food, rooftop, and bar were all fantastic, and I learned there are four pools, not just two. Everyone was 10/10, including Matt and Tanner at the front desk, the restaurant team, and the pool staff. The lobby feels modern and sleek, and its scent was incredible. The chicken sausage at breakfast was one of the best things I ate on the trip at the hotel. I had high expectations for the weekend, and they were exceeded. Highly recommend, and I'll absolutely be back.

Andres, Lovensky, and Matt were kind, helpful, and really went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. Room service was exceptional too, making sure we had everything we needed. I had an incredible stay at the One Hotel and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a great experience.

We had the best time here with our kid and my husband. The hotel feels like a dream, a real oasis, and everything is so well thought out. Brenda and Melvin were among the pool attendants who made our stay memorable, and Hannah at the front desk was the sweetest and helped with check-in. We loved the hotel's environmental mission, the vibe, the restaurants and bars, and all the events happening throughout the stay. We'll definitely come back!
