I was bracing for a broken-down, hundred-year-old shack after reading the reviews and worrying I’d made a huge mistake. Instead, room 900 on level 9 was renovated, extremely clean, smelled good, and had an amazing view and location. It had everything I could ask for. Two downsides: there were sometimes odd smells at night, and a few details weren’t carefully finished, like a messy paint job. Nothing major.

Our room was comfortable and clean, and we could see the ocean from the window. The hotel was peaceful and quiet, with all the amenities we needed. The pool was clean, had plenty of loungers, and was comfortable to use. The beach was close by, and the location was convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

The ocean view is breathtaking, and so is the pool. Service was adequate, and the beds were very cosy, but the rooms badly need proper renovations. Casablanca has lost the shine of its former glory. It once had a beautiful ballroom and restaurant bar, and I hope they bring them back someday. I think letting that opportunity go to waste is a shame.

My room wasn’t ready when I arrived at 4pm, and the desk didn’t explain anything. The staff were terrible: unhelpful, unfriendly, and hard to communicate with. I was told to get the password when I asked how to enter the room, with no further explanation. The woman barely spoke English, which is fine, but she could at least have explained things more clearly. I had to figure it out myself. It felt unprofessional, and I was very disappointed. This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The front desk couldn’t give basic information either. When I asked the late checkout price, she said to ask the owner. I asked how to contact someone who could help, and got “I don’t know” in reply. Why hire someone for the desk if they can’t answer anything? There was hair everywhere in the room, including four to six hairs on the towel. Disgusting. The room itself was nice, a little old, with a small kitchen area. If it had been clean and the front desk staff could communicate, the hotel could have been really awesome. The one other nice thing is that they offer late checkout, cash only. I really appreciated that.

Do your homework before booking. This “resort” was a gross misrepresentation, and what I got depended on the owner. I booked an upgraded one-bedroom suite with an ocean view in Feb 2026. When I called to say I’d be late, I found out the rooms were privately owned. The owner, Bebita, was in Egypt and contacted me through WhatsApp. She said the platform I’d booked through was oversold. I was with my young child and would be arriving in just a few hours. Suddenly a room, number 432l, became available, but it looked nothing like the one I’d booked. The tiles were broken and patched with wood, the drawers had no front panels, and the balcony door wouldn’t open. The view was of the top of the lower deck, with no ocean in sight. There were no towels in the room, and I couldn’t request any. There weren’t any phones either. The bathtub paint was peeling, and my daughter didn’t want to get in. The next day, we spent an hour trying to get out because the code lock battery had died. We couldn’t lock the door, and my daughter lost valuable beach time. We ended up buying four small towels at $10 each from the gift shop just to shower. The only good thing was being close to the beach. I wish I’d never set foot in this “resort.” I contacted the booking platform and got no response from the owner. I disputed the charge with my credit card company. I refuse to pay almost $500 for two days in a place worth less than a $30 motel.
