Costa Norte Boutique Hotel

The room’s smoke odor was the main problem with my stay at Costa Norte Hotel in Miami. It was meant to be non-smoking, but the smell was strong and stuck around the whole time. By the next day, it had given me a headache and made the room uncomfortable. They brought air fresheners after I reported it, but that didn’t get rid of the smoke smell. The front desk receptionist was only there for limited hours during the day, so I had no other way to reach management. Everything else was average, but this was a serious issue. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel if you want a comfortable room and a good night’s sleep.

We had a lot of fun, and our belongings felt safe. The location is close to plenty of things, with a cafe up the street. There was construction, but MPD treated us respectfully and let us pass. No issues, and they didn’t harass us. The rooms were decent for the price, but the service really made the stay lovely. Obi was so sweet, and one of the cleaning ladies always checked on us.

The location was great, but there’s no free parking. I got two parking tickets, and nobody at the hotel gave me a heads-up. The fire alarm also went off at 4:25am on the first night. We stayed six nights and got no room service until the last day. Even then, they only took out the trash and towels. We got two clean towels on day three. I’ll never go back.

Hobby at the front desk gave us a really warm welcome and was kind and helpful the whole time. The hotel is friendly and good value for the money. We had a lovely stay, especially because of the location. It’s just a 5-minute walk to the beach, with shops and boutiques close by.
