Henrosa Hotel

The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the bathroom had no hot water. The service was the bigger problem: staff were unfriendly and unprofessional, and left me to sort everything out myself. I had to call Europe at 3 AM there, and even then the booking hotline couldn’t get through to the receptionist. It was a stressful, disappointing stay, and I don’t recommend this hotel. I’ll have to make a claim to recover the amount I was overcharged. I arrived after 8 PM and spent 45 minutes at reception because no one would help with the difference between the hotel’s amount and my booking confirmation. They said it was my problem and told me to contact the booking platform. Breakfast was also unclear, and I nearly had to pay extra for it. In the end, I was charged about one-third more than the confirmed price, plus a deposit. They said the charge was for beach chairs, even though I arrived at 9 PM and left at 10 AM the next morning, when the beach facilities were closed.

Restaurants, shops, and the beach are all about a five-minute walk away, and the hotel has chairs reserved for guests, which was handy. Henrosa Hotel was spotless, had a nice feel to it, and the staff were friendly and helpful the whole time. I really enjoyed staying here and would come back.

I paid the full amount shown at Booking checkout, and my confirmation didn’t mention any required extra fees. Still, they asked for another $110 when I arrived. When I questioned it, they said I wouldn’t get the room keys unless I paid and could “go somewhere else.” After travelling and already paying online, that left me in a really uncomfortable spot. Springing an undisclosed charge on guests at check-in is unacceptable and stressful. I DO NO RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY !!!!!!

Room 214 was freezing, and the AC vents are very low. When I raised it, they claimed the hotel temperature had been turned up, but it hadn’t. Each floor has its own temperature control, and I could see the setting on the screen. Lying to a customer is unprofessional and makes them hard to trust. Don’t stay here.
