Hilton Garden Inn Miami South Beach

This is a lovely little hotel, an easy block from the beach, and you can rent chairs for the day. Our room had lots of space, and from the upper floor we could even see the water. The staff were informative. Coffee service was missing on two mornings, which was the one letdown, but there are plenty of coffee spots down the street. I highly recommend the location.

The beach is beautiful, though I was surprised by how much plastic washed up and the water wasn’t as clean as I expected. A bike ride to the pier is a good idea, and Uber and Lyft were useful and affordable. The city felt very safe, lively, and cool, but it’s expensive, so plan for that. A tea at a nearby bakery cost $ 5 USD, and beach chair cabana rentals were very pricey. I’d come back, but I’d make the trip more economical so I could stay longer. There are great restaurants around. For a compact hotel, they arranged the space well. Our room was clean, though it could’ve been cleaner: the toilet only partly worked, and the stained carpet needs attention. The hotel could use some updating. It’s very close to the beach, and the complimentary towels were a nice touch. Breakfast was good but the same each day, so for stays over two days, paying as you go might give you more choices.

This is a review for Benjamin Fleishman. He was a very professional front desk agent who understood the work cancellation situation and helped me out of a bind. He recognized what I needed both as a guest at his property and as a Hilton Hotel Honors member. The more I deal with Hilton and its Honor program, the more business I send their way. Kudos to Benjamin. I expect to stay at Hilton properties for future business travel. Well done! P.S. I wish the client hadn’t canceled the meeting. Benjamin was saying Miami Beach is hot right now!!!!

Being close to the beach may be the best thing about this place. The shower was spacious, and the fridge worked really well. The room was possibly the smallest I’ve ever stayed in, and the sixth-floor view wasn’t what had been advertised. There’s no parking, no warm baked cookies, and nobody welcomed me or acknowledged my hotel membership. The extra charges also weren’t advertised clearly.
