Hotel Baltic Boutique

My husband and I spent five days here in March, and everything was wonderful. The room was lovely and, most importantly, clean. The price was really nice and affordable. Shops, banks, and bars are close by, and it’s a three-minute walk to the ocean. The hotel owner was welcoming and pleasant, always available and ready to help with any questions. We’ll definitely return. Highly recommend!

We were excited about this cute hotel after seeing its pictures online, but the rooms weren’t like the photos. There’s no lobby to sit in, and the code only opens the front door. Since we were on the first floor, we had to carry all our luggage around to the front of the building to reach our room. We went out to the patio and got locked out. When I called, I was told it wasn’t in working condition, though nobody had mentioned that. We had to climb over the fence to get back inside. The refrigerator was soaking wet when we opened it, and the mattress was awful. Our backs are so sore. Please update the website pictures.

I canceled the reservation through Expedia a few minutes after making it, but the hotel kept $135, saying the booking was non-refundable. I couldn’t find that stated anywhere before booking. I tried several times to reach the hotel, but no one answered. After the cancellation was confirmed, they said it was too late to get a refund because I should’ve called immediately. I did call, and nobody picked up. Stay away from a place like this. There are plenty of better options nearby, and a cheap price simply means fraud.

The manager, Gerald, made everything easy while I was in town for a show, especially after my long flight to LA. Customer service at most places can be pretty terrible, but he was truly exceptional. The room was very clean, the water pressure was great, and both the bed and sheets were really comfortable. It’s a great location and very quiet.
