Nine20 Collins

The receptionist at Nine20 Apartments made a big difference from the moment I arrived. She's friendly, welcoming, and truly helpful, and goes out of her way to accommodate what she can. I felt valued, and her positive attitude really improved the experience. Customer service like that is rare and noticed.

The building is close to Ocean drive and the beach, which was nice, and our room was clean. I was also glad not to see any roaches. But the shower wasn't very clean, and the building has no elevator, so carrying luggage for four people up three floors for a week was difficult. There was only one place to load and unload a car, but someone was always parked there. When I asked desk staff to ask them to move, he said they might not because sometimes staff park there. We had to park down the street instead. After making about six trips down three flights with all our luggage and two little ones, we had to make the same number of trips down the street. Staff watched without apologizing and seemed unbothered. Be careful coming into the building late at night, too. A few nights we saw some “transaction” going on. That's my honest review.

The location was perfect, within walking distance of the beach and surrounded by great restaurants. Staff were really friendly and knew a lot about things to do nearby. The clean, beautiful rooms made this the best place we stayed on our Miami trip. They also let us leave our suitcases in a lock room after checkout, so we didn't have to carry them around on our last day. I wish we'd found the place sooner, since it was our final night in Florida and I would have booked more nights. Absolutely brilliant. I'd recommend it and stay again if we visit Florida.

The staff were great, really friendly and helpful, and the location worked well. The room was a letdown, though. It felt worn and dusty, with hair on the bed and in the shower. The shower barely gave us anything but cold water and didn't work right. We were in the room nearest the entrance, and the thin door meant we heard people coming and going and talking in the halls all night.
